An exhaust plug is a tapered rubber or silicone device designed to be inserted into the exhaust outlet of a motorcycle, ATV, dirt bike, or other motorized vehicles during maintenance, cleaning, or storage. Its primary purpose is to prevent water, dirt, debris, and small animals from entering the exhaust system, which could lead to corrosion, blockages, or internal engine damage.
Most exhaust plugs feature a universal conical shape to fit a variety of pipe diameters and often include a handle or tether for easy removal. Some may also have a brightly colored or high-visibility design to ensure they are not forgotten before the engine is started.
